We’re proud to be at the heart of the biggest live arts festival in the world. The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is THE market place for international theatre. It is not a curated arts festival but the world’s biggest performing arts trade fair.
Over a thousand promoters / presenters, directors of international festivals, programmers of inviting venues and independent producers come here to see what is available. Good reviews from here go a long way in Australia, US and Europe. For artists and companies, taking part in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe is an investment in the future.
The 2015 Fringe included 50,459 performances of 3,314 shows. Performed by over 22,000 artists from 66 different countries from Austria to Zimbabwe to a total audience of 2,300,000.
For the Universal Arts 2015 Fringe programme we brought some outstanding international theatre, dance and music to the New Town Theatre in George Street and to the Fringe's oldest operating venue – Hill Street Solo Theatre. Altogether our audiences bought more than 37,000 tickets.
For artists and producers who are interested in performing with us, we begin programming in October each year for the following Fringe. It's not too late to apply. You can find out how we can maximise your Edinburgh Festival Fringe experience, view technical specifications for our venues, and lots more on the Perform with Us page.
For audiences, the programme for Fringe 2015 – our 26th year on the Fringe – is HERE. You can keep up-to-date with developments by following us on Facebook and Twitter and we look forward to welcoming you at Fringe 2015.
